This Safe n Simple 12 drainable, one-piece pouch is an extended wear pouch that features a tape collar and Velcro closure. Extended wear ostomy pouches are best for liquid stool or urine, following an ileostomy or urostomy. These pouches are more resistant to liquid and can be worn longer than standard wear ostomy pouches. One-piece pouches have the skin barrier and pouch pre-attached. They are less bulky and noticeable and have fewer assembly steps than two-piece pouches. To use a cut-to-fit ostomy pouch, you can measure your stoma and trace its shape onto the release paper on the back of the skin barrier. Then, you can cut out the shape with scissors.
